Congratulations! You have found him...Shaker's Jamaican Pride (Leo) is The 2009 World Jumping Champion. He is also Top 5 in The World - Hunter Hack and Hunter Over Fences. He is currently Top 10 in The World - Overall Open Versatiity, Open Barrels, Amateur Barrel Racing, Poles and Stakes. He won all this before he turned 4 years old! Leo is an amazingly calm, sweet, naturally gaited, very smooth and colorful registered Missouri Foxtrotter Stallion (MFTHBA #05-87770). His registered name is Shaker's Jamaican Pride. The shipper that brought Leo here from MO, said that he is the best stallion he has ever hauled - he stood quietly next to another stallion the whole ride, never making a peep. You would never guess he is a stallion when you handle him unless you bring a mare over to his pasture to say "Hello" - and even then he is kind to the ladies and a consummate gentleman. Since we are trail riders; we care mostly about a horses great mind and quietness (necessary for safely on the trails), then conformation, and lastly color: but with Leo you can have it all! He is 3 years old in the videos and pictures below so will become even stockier and taller as he gets older. This is his coat color in the summer in Texas and he is not stalled. He is kept in a pasture with a mare or gelding all the time so is well socialized and kind to all other horses and he is a pleasure to handle. He is smooth and effortless to keep in his gaits. We will be showing Leo this summer at the national show in Ava MO in jumping. He is a natural. The very first time he ever jumped - he went over 2 feet. He is now jumping 4 feet high and 6 feet wide.
